Youth Summer Program

The Brookline Police Department hosts a one week Youth Summer Program every year. Participants of this program get an inside look to the Department. Participants are introduced to the four divisions (Patrol, Traffic, Detectives, and their mentors in the Community Service Division). Participants also get a peek at our partner agencies such as the Brookline Fire Department, Transformative EMS, and partner law enforcement agencies.

The program will be held August 14th though 18th 2023, and is for children entering the 7th and 8th grade.

Activities, demonstrations and field trips offered throughout the week may include the following, but are subject to change:

  • Tour of the police station and introduction to the Brookline Police Department
  • Tour of Boston Harbor with the Boston Police Marine Unit and Codzilla
  • Fire station and training facility
  • Field day at Larz Anderson park with lawn games, team building activities, Police K9 demonstration and introduction to the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing/Helicopter Unit
  • Firearms Training Simulator/MILO and defensive tactics training
