The online website says that I have an “RMV hold” on my vehicle. What does that mean?
After 42 days, the registry applies a late fee to all unpaid Brookline parking tickets, and a hold is placed on your registration. You will not be able to renew your registration until your parking tickets are paid in full. This fee is paid to the Town of Brookline in addition to any other late fees which may have been applied to the original amount. Parking tickets which have RMV holds can only be paid by cash or money order. See our parking tickets page for payment options. Vehicles which have more than 5 unpaid parking tickets can be towed for storage until the unpaid tickets are paid.
